What Makes Us UniqueAbout Us

Our VisionFocus. Clarity. Breakthrough Results.
At Epiphany Associates, we believe that real progress starts with focus. Organizations don’t fail because of a lack of effort—they struggle because they get trapped in distractions that drain resources and stall momentum. Our mission is to help leaders cut through the noise, identify what truly matters, and execute with precision.
Through systems thinking, constraints management, and our Five Question Framework (FQF), we equip leaders, teams, and organizations to remove barriers, maximize impact, and drive meaningful, lasting results.
Our Core ValuesWhat Guides Us
At Epiphany Associates, we don’t just offer strategies—we provide a north star to help organizations navigate complexity, make smarter decisions, and achieve breakthrough success.
Clarity Over Complexity
More isn’t always better. We help organizations focus on what drives real impact and eliminate what doesn’t.
Actionable Insight
Theory alone won’t create change. We provide practical, proven strategies that leaders can implement immediately.
Leadership at Every Level
Success isn’t just about leadership at the top; it’s about empowering every level of an organization to execute effectively.
Results, Not Just Activity
Being busy isn’t the same as being productive. We measure success by meaningful outcomes, not effort alone.

Our Leadership
Kristen Cox: Founder & CEO
The World’s Leading Authority on Applying Systems Thinking and TOC to Governments & Nonprofits
Kristen Cox is a visionary leader, author, TEDx speaker, and expert in systems thinking and constraints management, specializing in helping governments and nonprofits See the Signal. Best known for orchestrating a 35% measurable improvement in the State of Utah’s $20 billion executive branch, Kristen transforms large-scale operations by focusing on what truly matters.
Kris brings her expertise to organizations worldwide, guiding leaders to think and operate in entirely new ways which results in orchestrated breakthrough results. She has served as a Special Appointee in the Federal Government, the Executive Director for three governors, the State Budget Director, a university instructor, senior fellow, advisory board member, and run a nonprofit. She also created Utah’s SUCCESS Framework and the Quality Throughput over Operating Expense (QT/OE) metric–both of which have been widely recognized for driving government effectiveness.
Kristen is the co-author of two books with Dr. Yishai Ashlag–one of the world’s leading authorities on TOC. The books lay out a powerful, business fable that exposes “the Seductive Seven”–the ineffective problem-solving strategies we all tend to turn to in government or business. The books help leaders recognize and avoid these misleading “solutions” that only create the illusion of progress, but fail to address core issues.
Kristen is currently writing her third book.
Kris is the Founder & CEO of Epiphany Associates, LLC, a specialty training and consulting firm that brings her expertise to craft and help implement unique solutions for organizations’ toughest problems.
Beyond her professional expertise, Kristen’s personal journey as a blind leader adds depth to her work. She weaves together inspirational lessons on resilience, innovation, and clarity of thought, helping others develop the discipline to focus on real solutions that drive meaningful impact. Kris seeks to carry forward the work of her highly-impactful mentors like Dr. Kenneth Jernigan, and global thought leaders like Dr. Eliyahu Goldratt and Dr. Russell Ackoff.
